Would you like one “Casual glitter make-up”, “Woolsocks and bondage” or a treatment called “The Universe and the Human?”
SPA is a performance for one person at a time. It consists of sounds and music, silent gestures, being in the space, conversation and silence. The experiencer of the performance picks themselves one treatment from the menu. The same treatment is never repeated, since it is an improvised moment in relation to the performers and the experiencer, centering around listening the moment. We use primarily materials and tools that can be found from the spae or which are otherwise inspired by the space.
SPA was performed for the first as part of the House of Delights exhibition in Kunsthalle Neukölln, Berlin in 2016. Next time was December 2018 in the Global Flood performance space, and then at ITA-festival in September 2019. Through the performance we have dealt with different kind of topics like everyday erotica & sensuality or ecological crisis.

Haluaisitko yhden ‘Kaamoskäärylän’ tai vaikka hoidon nimeltä ‘Universumi ja ihminen’? SPA on esitys yhdelle henkilölle kerrallaan. SPAssa on ääniä ja musiikkia, hiljaisia eleitä, tilassa olemista, kosketusta, keskustelua ja hiljaisuutta. Esityksen kokija valitsee itse listalta itselleen sopivan hoidon. Sama hoito ei koskaan toistu täysin samanlaisena, sillä se syntyy aina vuorovaikutuksellisessa suhteessa kokijan kanssa. Esityksen keskiössä on läsnäolon ja kuuntelun merkityksellisyys. Käytämme ensisijaisesti materiaaleja ja välineitä, jotka löytyvät tilasta tai ovat muutoin tilan inspiroimia.
